Personal Styling is not just about the clothes, it’s about building up trust, a rapport with you my clients, getting to know their tastes, their lifestyle, their personality. It’s always good to get client feedback and here’s some kind words from some of my clients…
My wardrobe and shopping experience with Emma was delightful- I really enjoyed myself! She helped me to come out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to try new things whilst still respecting my own sense of style. Emma made the shop aspect really fun- not least because she supplied me with water and soft mints to keep my energy levels up but because she was organized and meticulous. All I had to do was stand in the dressing room trying on a pre-selected rack of clothes and if something didn’t fit she would go and get the right size. My energy levels didn’t deplete which enabled me to shop for longer! I absolutely love my new work wardrobe (the remit I gave her) and enjoy putting my outfits together each morning. I have always loved fashion but I hadn’t realized I was in a ‘rut’ until Emma came along. I feel like a have a new lease of life!! Now all I need is to start saving up so she can help with acquiring a fabulous new winter wardrobe. Thank you so much for everything x.
My best friend was having a small wedding in London at Kensington Palace so it was really important that I got my outfit right. I had already bought a navy dress and was really struggling to find a jacket and the accessories to complete the look. Emma came to my house, went through my wardrobe, as well as bringing some pieces of her own. First she made me feel totally at ease and relaxed and we talked about the look I was going for. Emma suggested I try on some different coats and jackets and she added some accessories as we went along. Emma was very clever with her styling and she suggested I tried pieces that I would not normally have done. It was great to experiment with different colours and after a few outfit changes Emma gave me the confidence to wear a bright coloured jacket with the navy dress and I totally loved the look! The only thing missing was the shoes but Emma was able to suggest lots of ideas within my budget and we even looked online and found the perfect pair. I went and bought them the same afternoon and my outfit was complete! Thanks to Emma, it was not only the easiest wedding outfit to plan but I felt totally fantastic and had so many compliments.
It was fantastic to have a styling session with Emma before the photo shoot for my new cookbook (The Allergy-Free Family Cookbook). She was full of good ideas and helped pick out and style some lovely outfits which we used on the day. She also lent me some pretty jewellery which finished off the outfits perfectly. She really listened and understood what I was looking for and filled me with confidence for the photo shoot which resulted in some wonderful shots.
The wonderful Emma Gordon came to my rescue a few years ago and I can't recommend her highly enough as a personal stylist & image consultant. She has helped to update my wardrobe, given me valuable style tips and basically made me feel like a much more confident, fashionable dresser. Personally she is a delight to work with: she is professional, her knowledge of current trends is spot on and she has a real talent for helping people to find their own personal style. Getting to know me Emma and I started our fashion journey together just as I went back to work part time, once my two girls were both in school. I was in a bit of frenzy at the time, with a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear! She started by spending some time getting to know me and my style, my day to day life, what kind of dresser I felt I was and what I wanted to achieve out of our time together. For me it was clear - i needed help to update my wardrobe, be more stylish, confident and on-trend and help me to try new things so I didn't always wear the 'same old thing'. I work wit... Read more
Mother of the bride, in her seventies. Despairing of finding something suitable to wear for a London wedding, until Emma walked into the changing room with the perfect outfit. She has brought me out of my usual ‘60’s’ image and into 2015. I am thrilled! Job well done! Thank you Emma.
